This Miyazaki movie is not very known to the general public... Yet it is worth the detour! The story : Kiki is a young 13 year old girl part in learning away from his parents to become a witch, as is the tradition... arriving in a big city, a place of learning, it will understand very quickly that nothing is acquired in advance! But fortunately, on the way, she will meet people who will help him in his learning. The friendship, the magic, the adventure (strong themes in Hayao Miyazaki) are waiting for you! Less imposing that 'Princess Mononoke', 'spirited away' or lately the 'moving Castle', this animated film is yet not free of charm : décor, vibrant colors, original characters etc, More aimed at a 'younger audience', it doesn't mean that the others are missing! The film is a success, a true masterpiece. The graphics, coloured by water-based paint for the backgrounds, are absolutely drug quality. The Blu-Ray gives a perfect image and the sound, in PCM stereo (0 compression) is at the top and I don't think it was possible to do better for this film. I criticize this disc for the lack of bonus. It is a pity, as most of the time the bonus doesn't interest me as much as I really wanted to learn more about what the author of the story wanted to express. It is necessary to do a job search yourself to really understand the feeling that the author wanted to convey. Namely that, contrary to what most of the critics and spectators have understood, this is not a film pacifist nor, strictly speaking, about the war. The news that the movie is shot is in fact a letter of excuse for the main character to his little sister. It is a film that deals with the pride, the recklessness and irresponsibility in a first time, and then the guilt and regrets. It would have been very interesting to have at least one interview of the author (in addition to the director) to really clarify the message on that drive (instead of having to search for information and other comments of the author). To it 4 stars on 5 but frankly, it is a note severe. A film more complex than it seems at first. A masterful work which deserves to be known. these really super that goldorack either re-release some year later as I grew up, but I'm always a fan when I was 10 years I'm going to buy the 2d box in a few days. It is a classic of the genre, which caters to all generations. A very nice booklet is included in the box. Quality of the remastering - possibility of benefiting from the original version under titled - but no bonuses and generic interpreted by Noam (not the best of the generic in my opinion...) The pleasure, however, to immerse themselves in the magic and the nostalgia of childhood ;-) This DVD is just a treat, however I am not a fan of undisputed Mangas but this one is sublimissimeFinally the sequel to ba patience is rewarded a shame only 4 episodes but the magazine of 80 pages is really is after that much more on the staff and history as well as on the characters I already pre-ordered the Vol 2 to 4 because only those presented on the site of Amazon for the time being. This would be depriving yourself of the drawings wonderful, pastels (one sometimes has the impression of being in front of a painting) and lavish sets. This festival of color is easy to imagine the work performed. Pretty fable, this film offers a scenario and characters which are touching, where everyone will be conquered. The music is beautiful, very beautiful score. A great happiness.. Dvd disappointing for the price. In effect this is a special episode that could have easily been a bonus on season 4. It only lasts for 45 minutes and on these 45-minute, 15-minute traces, in fact, what happened in the previous seasons. The door key is a bonus, nice but personally, I don't hammer not and it does not justify the price. In short very disappointed. As much as I find the seasons a little expensive but are complete. As I think this dvd is really there to make even more money. Despite the dramatic side of this story (the little Sarah whose mother has died is placed by his father in an English settlement to get a excellent education. The father will be missing and school fees will no longer paid.... Little Sarah is going to find himself the slave of her former classmates), the hope remains alive in each episode. I recommend this story to all of them.. Sending quick and neat. Compatible with my dvd player 1 price. My daughter loves to follow the adventures of this princess brave. While on my side, I am looking back to my childhood memories... To pay half of the episodes to 50€ and for the DVD quality one falls down... I hope that other offers will come out no one will buy for that price, even if this manga is awesomeVery good series that one is a fan of the manga or not. For fans of zombies and humor in japanese.
